POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a retail theft at the Mulberry Walmart located at 6745 Church Avenue North.
The suspect attempted to deceive store personnel by making it appear as though he had paid for the merchandise in his shopping cart, but in reality, he paid for none of it. The stolen merchandise was valued at approximately $180, according to deputies.

The suspect bypassed all points of sale and, when confronted about a receipt, was unable to provide one. He then fled the scene.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information related to the investigation to come forward.
