Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday said Tucker Carlson’s exit from Fox News showed that Rupert Murdoch’s network betrayed its conservative audience and simply “caved” to the work mob.

But the Georgia Republican predicted Carlson would be back in some other venue and be “more powerful” than he was as the leading figure on cable news.

Greene appeared on the “Firebrand” podcast hosted by Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz.

She told Gaetz that when she first got to Washington “everybody canceled me” — except Carlson. He was the only media figure to give her a platform.

“Tucker was the one voice we had, the best America First conservative voice, and he challenged everybody,” Greene added.

By separating itself from Carlson, Greene continued that Fox News “caved to the woke mob.”

“They absolutely caved to the woke mob,” she added, noting the lawsuit Fox faced in part because of Carlson. “This is the left. This is what they do. It’s lawfare.”

“To save democracy, they believe in canceling people and silencing their speech, and that’s what they think they’re doing to Tucker Carlson — and Fox News went along with it.”

Greene added, “Fox News has no idea how badly they’re hurting their company.”

Gaetz chipped in that the powerful influences in Washington actually feared Carlson and his reach.

“He spoke the truth. He spoke truth to power. He wasn’t controlled, and I know he won’t be in his next venture,” said Gaetz.

Greene said, “I don’t think it’s over for Tucker Carlson. I think he’s gonna come back, and it’s going to be even bigger and more powerful.”
