Motorcyclist Killed In High-Speed Largo Crash

LARGO, Fla. – On Monday, at approximately 1 pm, Largo Police Officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Ulmerton Rd for a traffic crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

Police say that the initial investigation has yielded information that the SUV was attempting to make a U-turn when the motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the SUV.

Speed is believed to be a factor with the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased, while the driver of the SUV had no reported injuries and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Largo Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is conducting the investigation.
