Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Collision On US-19 In Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A 63-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a motorcycle accident on US-19 on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on US-19 when he lost control of his Kawasaki motorcycle, crossed the median, and collided nearly head-on with a northbound Ford Edge driven by a 34-year-old Crystal River woman.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the Ford Edge and her 12-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital.

The accident occurred north of Briar Oaks Drive around 1:05 PM. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
