Riverview Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Stopped Deputy Vehicle In Wimauma

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A deputy from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a traffic accident that killed a motorcyclist Saturday.

On Saturday just after 10 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near US Highway 301 and Ayersworth Glen Boulevard when a a Yamaha motorcycle, operated by a 25-year-old Riverview man, collided with the marked Hillsborough Sheriff’s Chevy Tahoe.

Despite life-saving measures by the deputy and responding Hillsborough County Fire Rescue paramedics, he was pronounced deceased on the scene. The deputy was not injured.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
