TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal crash at Veterans Expy & Independence Parkway, which happened Saturday night.
Police say they discovered a motorcyclist described as a white man with serious injuries shortly after 11 p.m.
According to officials, first responders attempted to save the victim, who was transported to a local hospital.

According to the TPD, the motorcyclist died as a result of his injuries.
The police department is investigating the cause of the crash.
The Northbound Veterans Expwy at Independence Parkway was closed during the initial investigation.
