MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Malik Keisaan Hodrick, 28, an airport security technician with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested Wednesday for falsifying his activity records.
Hodrick is accused of fraudulently using another employee’s identification number to misrepresent his official activities. He has been charged with official misconduct and criminal misuse of personal identification information.
Sheriff Rick Ramsay has stated his intention to terminate Hodrick’s employment. Hodrick has been placed on administrative leave without pay pending a pre-determination hearing.
“I am disappointed this young man chose this course of action. I can, and do, work with employees that make mistakes, but I cannot tolerate them lying to cover it up” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “This community has to be able to rely on their Sheriff’s Office to tell them the truth.”
Hodrick had been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since February 1, 2021.
