According to authorities, McJunkins-Macias called 911 on himself last Thursday, June 13, to report that Lopez was dead inside a camper trailer.
The investigation led authorities to believe the murder took place in Miami County, Kansas, near Louisburg, before her body was transported to Carthage, Missouri.

The tragic incident has shocked the communities in both Kansas and Missouri. Investigators are working diligently to uncover the motive behind this horrific crime and to ensure justice for Kenia Lopez.
