In an unexpected turn of events, a Mississippi woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy in the bathroom of a Golden Corral restaurant in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tayvia Woodfork, who was unaware of her pregnancy, started experiencing abdominal pain during a family meal at the buffet-style restaurant. Initially thinking it was just cramps, she excused herself to the restroom, where she unexpectedly went into labor.

“There were no signs,” said Tameka Woodfork, Tayvia’s mother told FOX59. “We had no idea.”

The family stopped to eat on the way home to Mississippi.

Paramedics arrived shortly after the birth and transported both mother and baby to a nearby hospital, where they were reported to be in good health. In a heartwarming gesture, the family decided to name their newborn son Golden Corral Woodfork, in honor of his unusual birthplace.

A spokesperson for Golden Corral congratulated the family and offered them a lifetime supply of baby back ribs. They also presented the new mom with a Golden Corral gift basket filled with diapers, wipes, and other essentials.

The story quickly went viral on social media, with many praising the restaurant for its generosity and quick response. Some even joked that Golden Corral is the new “birthplace of champions.”

Despite the surprise and initial shock, the Woodfork family is overjoyed at the birth of their newest member. Golden Corral Woodfork’s unique story is a reminder that life can take unexpected turns, often in the most surprising places.
