TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police have confirmed that Shirley Jones, a missing 79-year-old woman, has been located and safely returned to her family.
Jones, who suffers from dementia, was reported missing from her residence in the 2400 block of N. Boulevard earlier today. Family members last saw her around 12:30 AM.

Police described Jones as 5’1″ tall, weighing 110 pounds with a thin build and short black hair. She was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt, black pants, and black sandals with buckles, and was believed to be carrying a red purse.
Authorities were concerned for her safety due to her medical condition and launched a search effort. Fortunately, Jones was found and reunited with her family.
The Tampa Police Department thanked the public for their assistance in locating Jones.
