NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A tragic end to a missing person case unfolded in New Port Richey as a man took his own life after being located by Pasco Sheriff’s deputies.
The man, who has not been identified, was reported missing and endangered due to concerning statements and possession of a weapon. Deputies quickly located him in the US 19 area, but after making verbal contact, the individual moved behind a trailer and shot himself.

This incident is being considered an isolated event, and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
