Military Recognition: Tampa Sailor Signals Helicopter on U.S. Navy Warship

Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Nicole Zapata, from Tampa, Fla., receives an SA-330J Puma helicopter on the flight deck aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) during a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard (T-AKE 3).

McCain is assigned to Destroyer Squadron Fifteen (DESRON 15), the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
