The boxing legend Mike Tyson, known for his ferocious fighting style and captivating persona, recently found himself in the spotlight for a different reason – a medical scare that unfolded during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
As news of the incident spread, concerns were raised about the health and wellbeing of the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion.
However, in a reassuring turn of events, Tyson’s representatives have since confirmed that the iconic pugilist is doing just fine, providing valuable insights into the nature of the incident and his current state.

“Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him,” his representatives said in a statement.
According to eyewitness accounts, the medical episode occurred about 30 minutes before the plane’s scheduled landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Passengers on board the flight reported that Tyson had experienced a sudden onset of nausea and dizziness, prompting the flight crew to issue a call for any medical personnel on board. The message was even displayed on the screens of the passengers.
As the plane touched down at LAX, paramedics were quickly on the scene to attend to Tyson. The eyewitness recounted that the flight attendant had informed the passengers that Tyson was an “important passenger” and that they wanted to ensure he was well taken care of. While the exact details of the medical intervention were not disclosed, the swift response from the authorities and the flight crew’s concern for Tyson’s wellbeing were evident.
The incident has naturally raised concerns about Tyson’s preparedness for his upcoming boxing match against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, scheduled for July 20th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tyson, a former heavyweight champion, is making a highly anticipated return to the ring after a 19-year hiatus, and the fight is set to be streamed on Netflix.
Tyson’s boxing career has been nothing short of legendary. He boasts an impressive record of 50 wins, 6 losses, and 44 knockouts, cementing his status as one of the most feared fighters in the history of the sport. His sheer power and ferocity in the ring have captivated audiences worldwide, and his return to the sport has generated significant excitement among fans and pundits alike.

Tyson has been diligently training and preparing in the lead-up to the fight with Jake Paul. He has been open about the sacrifices he has made, including abstaining from smoking and sexual activity for two and a half weeks prior to the bout.
This discipline and commitment exemplify Tyson’s determination to make a successful comeback and prove his mettle against his younger opponent.
