TAMPA, Fla. – After his 6th-round TKO loss to Jake Paul, Mike Perry admits Paul was faster and much better than he thought, and Paul cracked his rib early.
“He (Paul) hit me with a right hook to the body in the beginning, cracked my rib in the first ten seconds,” Perry said. “I was trying to find it on him. I was trying to find a right hook to the body, trying to use my jab to set it up, but I was just never able to see it. He was just too fast.”
Paul moved to (10-1, 7 KO’s) while Perry, who is 5-0 as a Bare Knuckle Fighter, dropped to (0-2) as a boxer.

Paul put Perry on the canvas three times, and the ref stepped in at 1:12 of Round 6 to end it. Paul will now bulk up and get ready to fight Iron Mike Tyson on November 15 in Arlington, Texas, in an 8-round heavyweight bout to be streamed on Netflix. Paul risked a lot in this fight with Perry. It was originally supposed to be against Tyson. But Tyson pulled out with an ulcer flare-up, but he says he’ll be ready for Paul in November.
“Anytime I can get into a camp for a big fight to perform under the bright lights to prepare me for tough moments, I’m going to take it,” Paul said. “There’s money fights, big fights, experience fights and tonight was an experience fight. Nov (Tyson) is a massive, massive fight. I mean it’s an experience going up to heavyweight.”
Paul had to cut over 30 pounds once he found out he was going to fight Perry.
