Michigan man Aerian Porter-Craig has been arrested for allegedly distributing drugs laced with fentanyl that led to the deaths of three Grosse Pointe Woods residents in June 2023.

U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison made the announcement along with officials from the FBI and Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety.

The complaint alleges Porter-Craig of Harper Woods regularly sold drugs to the victims.

On the evening of June 9, 2023, Porter-Craig allegedly delivered drugs to two victims at one house and a third victim at another house in Grosse Pointe Woods.

Communication from all three victims’ phones ceased shortly after Porter-Craig’s visits. Evidence found at the scenes and subsequent toxicology reports confirmed the presence of fentanyl, and in one case, xylazine, an animal tranquilizer sometimes mixed with fentanyl.

U.S. Attorney Ison emphasized the devastating impact of fentanyl in the community, stating, “Three young people lost their lives as fentanyl continues to ravage our communities. Fentanyl is everywhere, which means there is no such thing as safe use of illegal drugs.”
