Mexican Man Deported 3 Times Found Guilty In Orlando For Illegal Reentry

ORLANDO, Fla. – Daniel Hernandez-Casiano, a 44-year-old Mexican citizen, has pleaded guilty to illegally reentering the United States after being deported.

This offense carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is set for November 4, 2024.

Court documents reveal that Hernandez-Casiano was discovered in the U.S. on January 9, 2024, after being arrested and convicted on state charges related to fentanyl possession and driving without a valid license.

He had been previously deported to Mexico three times.

Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Marshals Service jointly investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie McNeff is leading the prosecution.
