Actor and director Mel Gibson has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming presidential election, taking a jab at Kamala Harris’s record and qualifications.
TMZ photographers caught up with Gibson at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, and he confirmed his support for Trump with Election Day just two weeks away. When asked about his vote, Gibson hinted, “I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I vote for.”
Gibson further explained his perspective on the election: “I know what it’ll be like if we let her in, and that ain’t good. She’s got a miserable track record, no policies to speak of, and she’s got the IQ above a fence post.”
In CNN’s latest poll before Election Day, conducted by SSRS, the race for the White House is a tie. 47% of likely voters support Vice President Kamala Harris, and 47% back former President Donald Trump.
The poll confirms the tight race throughout the campaign, with September figures showing Harris at 48% and Trump at 47%.

Notably, 85% of likely voters say they have stuck to their choice throughout, with only 15% changing their minds. Currently, 2% remain undecided, while 9% of voters say they could still change their preference.
Those who are firmly committed split evenly, but voters who remain open to changing lean slightly toward Trump, are less motivated to vote, and show more support for third-party candidates.
