PLANT CITY, Fla. – A large warehouse fire erupted Thursday evening at a cardboard recycling facility located at 2067 S. County Line Road, prompting a two-alarm response from local and county fire departments.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) was called to assist Plant City Fire Rescue after resources were quickly depleted in battling the intense blaze at the NuCycle Energy facility.

Upon arrival, HCFR crews encountered heavy smoke and flames consuming the facility, with extensive recycling debris fueling the fire. The scale and complexity of the situation required an immediate escalation of resources, leading to the two-alarm designation.
Firefighters have been working tirelessly to contain the fire and minimize further damage. The scene remains active, and officials have not yet provided an estimate on when the fire will be fully controlled.
