On Sunday, September 29, over 100,000 Americans from across the political spectrum are expected to gather in the nation’s capital for a historic “Rescue the Republic” rally. Amid growing disillusionment with the two-party system, a record number of Americans now identify as “Independent,” expressing frustration with divisive identity politics and media influence.

These voters believe the Republic is at risk and are calling for leaders who will champion their cause.

The Libertarian Party, the third-largest political party in the United States, is at the forefront of this movement. Angela McArdle, co-director of the “Rescue the Republic” initiative and Chair of the National Libertarian Party, is helping lead the charge to bring Americans together under common principles and push back against the entrenched two-party system.

Featured speakers at the rally will include a diverse lineup of thought leaders and public figures such as Tulsi Gabbard, Bret Weinstein, Matt Taibbi, Col. Douglas Macgregor (ret.), Dr. Robert W. Malone, Dr. Pierre Kory, Dr. Heather Heying, comedian Jimmy Dore, and musicians the Defiant, Five Times August, and Tennessee Jet.

Additional speakers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Libertarians are leading the charge on unifying the country. Together, we can restore the principles that make our Republic so beautiful and worth saving. We’re bringing together notable musical artists, comedians, and thought leaders of our generation to stand together and rescue the Republic,” said Angela McArdle.

The non-partisan rally aims to unite and mobilize the public to demand a significant shift away from the current two-party system, inspiring candidates to rally around the eight core principles outlined in “The American Commitment.”

Mobilizing Voters and Candidates Around Core Principles

Organizers emphasize that the period following the rally, leading up to the election, will be critical for educating and mobilizing voters and candidates at all levels of government. Attendees will have the opportunity to download “The American Commitment” through a QR code displayed at the event.

Voters will be encouraged to urge candidates to endorse and defend the following eight core principles:

  • War is always the last resort.
  • Sanctify and recodify informed consent.
  • Banish state information control, surveillance, and propaganda.
  • Secure monetary freedom.
  • Restore family sovereignty.
  • Enact a rational border policy, including ending harmful U.S. policies.
  • Liberate truth-seeking and open dialogue.
  • End lawfare and the abuse of the court system.

Why Preserve the Republic?

“At its heart, it is an agreement to distribute opportunity as widely as possible. Today, the foundation that makes up the West is under attack. This moment demands radical change and requires liberals, conservatives, and independents of every color and creed to unify to rescue the West,” said Dr. Bret Weinstein, co-host of the DarkHorse podcast and a key visionary of the rally.

This rally is expected to be a significant moment for those seeking change in the American political landscape, as it brings together diverse voices to champion a shared vision for the future of the Republic.
