A Massachusetts man is facing federal drug trafficking charges after allegedly shipping multiple packages of cocaine from California to Massachusetts through the U.S. mail.

Justin Dupras, 42, of Fall River, was charged Friday with one count of attempting to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute. He is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Boston at a later date.

According to the charging document, Dupras mailed a package containing approximately two kilograms of cocaine from a Los Angeles post office to Fall River on December 17th, 2024.

He then returned to Massachusetts and, on December 19th, retrieved the package from the Fall River Post Office with the help of another individual.

Authorities allege that this was not an isolated incident. Dupras is accused of mailing similar packages containing cocaine from California to Massachusetts on multiple occasions in the preceding months.

The charging document cites specific instances:

  • September 17, 2024: Dupras allegedly mailed a box containing over two kilograms of cocaine from Chino Hills, California, to Fall River.
  • October 29, 2024: He allegedly mailed another box containing approximately two kilograms of cocaine from Los Angeles to Fall River.

Flight records indicate that Dupras returned to Massachusetts on the same day he mailed these packages, suggesting a pattern of travel and shipping activity related to drug trafficking.

If convicted, Dupras faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million.
