Carlos Alejandro Chevalier Santos, 22, of Methuen, Massachusetts, has confessed to his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy operating in the Seacoast region.
Santos pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of conspiracy to distribute and distribution of controlled substances. Sentencing is scheduled for September 16, 2024.
Santos, identified as a “runner” for the Methuen-based organization, was responsible for delivering fentanyl and methamphetamine. During the investigation, undercover officers purchased drugs from Santos on multiple occasions, including a pound of methamphetamine in February 2024.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) spearheaded the investigation, with assistance from various local and state police departments. Santos faces up to 20 years in prison, a minimum of three years supervised release, and a potential fine of $1 million.
Charges are still pending against Santos’ co-conspirators in the drug trafficking ring.
