Nicholas Munson Troemner, a 41-year-old resident of Marco Island, Florida, has been sentenced to over five years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Troemner was found in possession of a loaded Taurus pistol in North Fort Myers in February 2023, despite having multiple prior felony convictions that prohibited him from owning firearms or ammunition under federal law.

U.S. District Judge Sherri Polster Chappell handed down the sentence, which also includes the forfeiture of the firearm and ammunition.
