MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Marathon man is facing serious charges following a violent domestic incident that left another man hospitalized.
Yunisley Alvarez Armas, 38, was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly attacking a 51-year-old man during a dispute at a residence on Ocean Breeze Avenue.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 10:38 p.m. and found the victim with severe injuries to his head, face, neck, elbow, and knees.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Armas struck the victim, hit him in the head with a 10-pound weight, and choked him. The victim suffered cuts, a concussion, and other injuries.

Armas was charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery by strangulation, and obstructing justice. He was taken to jail.
