CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Poice is searching for a [pickup truck that fled the scene of a crash with a scooter Monday.
Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a traffic crash just after 2:45 this afternoon in the area of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Hampton Road.
The crash involved an adult male operating a motorized scooter and a pickup.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene, and the man on the scooter was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators are actively following up on several investigative leads to identify the driver.
