ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 27-year-old man was killed and a 26-year-old woman injured in a shooting that occurred early this morning outside a club located at 901 9th Avenue South.
At approximately 3:19 a.m., a fight broke out inside the club and spilled into the parking lot, where several shots were fired. Delvin Jaquez Ford was shot while attempting to leave the scene in a vehicle. He subsequently crashed into a pole and was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.

A 26-year-old woman was also struck in the leg and is currently in stable condition.
The St. Petersburg Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact the St. Petersburg Police at 728-893-7780.
