HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with the overdose deaths of two individuals in Gibsonton last year, charging him with murder.
On July 6, 2024, deputies discovered William Jackson, 41, and Amanda Stephens, 36, deceased inside their residence near the 800 block of Richmond Street. Both deaths were initially suspected to be the result of drug overdoses.

After a months-long investigation, detectives identified Ramero Randolph, 36, as the source of the drugs that caused the fatal overdoses.
Randolph was arrested on January 9, 2025, and is now facing the following charges:
- Two counts of First-Degree Murder Resulting from the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance

“Drug dealers profiting from addiction that leads to death in our community will face the full consequences of the law,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to the hard work of our detectives, another drug dealer is off the streets after causing tragic and preventable deaths.”
