Daniel Peel, a South Carolina man, was arrested and charged with murder, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice in connection with the death of Shamra Felkel.
Felkel, 49, was reported missing on October 7th, but was last seen on September 25th. Her remains were recently discovered in a well and identified by authorities. The coroner ruled her death a homicide.
According to reports, Peel allegedly strangled Felkel during an argument on September 25th.

Felkel’s daughters have expressed frustration to local media outlets with law enforcement’s response to their mother’s concerns, stating that she had previously reported feeling threatened by Peel.
“This is an ongoing investigation, and there is no other information available at this time,” said Darlington County Sheriff James Hudson Jr. in a social statement.
The exact nature of Peel and Felkel’s relationship remains unclear.
