Last week, President Joe Biden gave the commencement speech at Howard University and declared that white supremacy was the primary threat facing America.
It so happened that just days before Biden’s remarks, news surfaced of a racially motivated murder in Louisiana.
But it’s doubtful you’ll hear Biden talk about the case because, once again, the media goes silent when the facts don’t fit the narrative.
On May 9, Kenner, Louisiana, police offered new details in the murder of a handyman named Lawrence Herr, who was fatally shot as he worked on a mailbox outside a house that he was helping prepare for renting.

The cops reported that Herr was specifically targeted for his race. Herr is white.
According to WVUE, the Fox affiliate in Kenner, two local men, Tahj Matthews and Maurice Holmes, both of whom are black, face first-degree murder charges and possibly hate-crime allegations in the April 10 slaying of Herr, a 66-year-old known to his friends as “Peanut.”
“We have not found any relation between the victim and the suspects,” Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley told WVUE. “In fact, the victim’s back was to the suspects when the shots were fired.”
Conley added that one of the men admitted the motive during questioning.
“Later in the confession they did indicate they were not only looking to kill somebody but they wanted it to be a white person,” Conley said.
Despite the cold-blooded and apparently racially motivated murder, the mainstream media is once again silent.
Searches for Matthews’ name and the city of Kenner came up empty at the websites of The New York Times, Washington Post, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and PBS.

The media silence recalls what The Free Press reported on May 11.
In that case, those same news outlets ignored details shared by the district attorney in Tulsa, Oklahoma, about the case of Carlton Gilford, who is black.
On April 18, Gilford allegedly shot two white men execution-style without any provocation, and solely because of their race.
Gilford reportedly shot Lundin Hathcock in the back of the head while he was inside a public library. A short time later, Gilford shot James McDaniel in the back of the head inside a convenience store.
Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said, “race played a role in it.”
Gilford admitted to the shootings when police finally nabbed him nearly a week later. He has been charged with Oklahoma’s version of a hate crime in addition to two counts of first-degree murder.
