Maine Man Pleads Guilty To Intense Harassing And Threatening Phone Calls

A Maine man has admitted to a series of harassing and threatening phone calls and text messages. Angelo Castigliola, 44, pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to his conduct between mid-July and early August 2023.

During this time, Castigliola made 57 calls and left nine voicemails for the victim, and sent her 40 text messages in a single day.

These communications were harassing and included threats to harm someone close to the victim and references to the victim’s minor child.

Castigliola also made calls to the victim’s mother, disguising his number, and left threatening voicemails, including threats to kill three family members and to sexually assault two minor children.

Castigliola faces potential prison time and fines for his crimes. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is withholding identifying information to protect the victims’ privacy.
