These charges stem from a January 2024 incident where Hagans was observed making hand-to-hand drug sales at a New Orleans gas station. When police attempted to detain him, Hagans fled, discarding a firearm in the process. A search of his vehicle and residence later revealed additional firearms and cocaine.
Hagans faces a potential sentence ranging from five years to life in prison, depending on the specific charges and sentencing guidelines. His sentencing is scheduled for January 30, 2025.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together law enforcement and communities to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
