MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old man from Little Torch Key, Florida, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a case of sexual abuse involving a 15-year-old victim.
William Charles Sanborn was taken into custody and charged with lewd and lascivious battery. The arrest follows an investigation that began in October 2024 when the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a report about the alleged incident.

Details about the case are limited due to the sensitive nature of the crime and the involvement of a minor.
Sanborn is being held in Monroe County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
