Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio has become the latest military installation to report sightings of mysterious drones.
Base officials confirmed that drones were spotted over the base between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Bob Purtiman, Chief of Public Affairs told WHIO that airspace was blocked for around four hours late Friday night into early Saturday.
“To date, installation leadership has determined none of the incursions impacted base residents, facilities or assets,” Purtiman told the outlet.

While many of these sightings have been attributed to misidentified manned aircraft, some, like those at Wright-Patterson, have been confirmed by trained observers.
The origin and intent of these drones remain a mystery, and U.S. officials should be working to address the growing concerns and any national security risks.
