Lightning Fall To Stars Despite Cirelli’s Career Night (2-4)

TAMPA, Fla.– The Tampa Bay Lightning (10-7-2) were upended by the Dallas Stars (12-5-3) 4-2 on Saturday night, snapping their five-game point streak.

Center Anthony Cirelli had a night to remember, scoring both of Tampa Bay’s goals and extending his goal streak to a career-long five games. However, his efforts were ultimately overshadowed by the Stars’ comeback victory.

Winger Brandon Hagel continued his hot streak, assisting on both of Cirelli’s goals. He now sits tied with Cirelli for second-most points on the Lightning with 21 (9 goals, 12 assists).

Andrei Vasilevskiy returned to the net after a short break but was unable to extend his three-game winning streak. He stopped 24 of 28 shots faced in the losing effort.

Looking Ahead

The Lightning will look to bounce back against the Colorado Avalanche (13-4-2) on Tuesday, November 25th, at 7:00 PM EST.
