HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has taken a 15-year-old Leto High School student, Anthony Turino-Costa, into custody after he allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the school on social media.

HCSO’s School Threat Assessment and Response Team swiftly responded to the high school and apprehended Turino-Costa.

He is being charged with written or electronic threats to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.

At this time, detectives do not believe he has access to any weapons.
