Lobbying firms in Florida collected nearly $48 million for their legislative work from April 1 through June 30, according to a newly posted estimate.

Firms faced a Monday deadline for filing reports about compensation during the year’s second quarter.

A compilation posted on a state lobbyist-registration website Wednesday showed an estimated total of $47.876 million, up from $40 million during the same period in 2022.

The numbers are estimates because firms generally report compensation in ranges. This year’s second quarter included the final month of the regular legislative session.

The 2022 regular session ended in March.
