Acclaimed actor Donald Sutherland passed away today in Miami, Florida, after a long illness. He was 88 years old.
Sutherland’s illustrious career spanned over seven decades, leaving an indelible mark on the world of cinema. From his breakthrough role in “The Dirty Dozen” to his iconic portrayal of President Snow in “The Hunger Games” franchise, Sutherland captivated audiences with his versatility and magnetic presence.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in 1935, Sutherland initially pursued a career in engineering before discovering his passion for acting. He honed his craft on stage and in television before transitioning to film, where he quickly rose to prominence.
