Almost from the start of his term, President Joe Biden and his administration have said repeatedly that “white supremacists” are the biggest threat the country faces.

What Biden may not admit is that some of these same white supremacists are his fans.

Headlines in Florida in recent days have focused on a neo-Nazi rally held Saturday outside Disney World.

According to the Daily Mail, the participating groups — the Blood Tribe and the Goyim Defense League — organized a “March of the Redshirts.” As the name suggested, the white supremacists wore bright red shirts with black plants and waved Nazi flags.

The national media spotlighted the small rally in an attempt to show this is what life is like in Florida under Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. Left-wing Democratic state Rep. Anna Eskamani, for instance, called the rally “absolutely disgusting stuff and another example of the far right extremism growing in FL.”

But the media forgot the part where the narrative fell apart.

At one point, in a video posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, an interviewer asked Christopher Pohlhaus, the spokesman for the groups, about their positions.

Sounding much like Antifa, Pohlhaus complained about the influence of the “billionaires” and the “capitalists.”

Pohlhaus was then asked about the presidential election.

“My vote is useless,” Pohlhaus began.

He then added, “I think [President Joe] Biden is better than [former President Donald] Trump because he sends rockets to Ukraine.” Pohlhaus continued, “Hail Ukraine! Hail Azov,” which referred to the Azov battalion, a group of anti-Russian Ukrainian nationalists who are neo-Nazi sympathizers.

As the website RedState recounted, one of the men in the group with Pohlhaus said, “We’re all [Florida Republican Gov.] Ron DeSantis supporters.” He immediately laughed and added, “F**k Ron DeSantis.”

At another point in the rally, they told Laura Loomer, a former Republican congressional candidate who is Jewish, that she should be thrown into an oven.

As RedState columnist Nick Arama noted on Sunday, “It’s pretty ironic that Democrats try to tag the right with these characters, but then their leader says he supports Biden. Do these Neo-Nazis truly support the president? Who knows? This guy says it, but then he grins. They tend to troll a lot, but they certainly seem to be on the same page as Biden when it comes to support for Ukraine.”

“The left will simply ignore this part about them saying they support Biden and will continue to try to connect them to people on the right who reject them,” he added.
