LARGO, Fla. – Largo Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing near the intersection of 11th Avenue NW and 7th Street NW around 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, they found a female victim suffering from stab wounds and immediately began life-saving measures.
The victim was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

During the investigation, Largo Police identified 38-year-old Cyrus Jenkins as a person of interest. Jenkins was known to the victim. Through investigative efforts, detectives located Jenkins and took him into custody without incident.
Jenkins has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing.
