Largo Man Killed, Mississippi Woman Critical After St. Petersburg Motorcycle Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A late-night motorcycle crash in St. Petersburg has claimed the life of a Largo man and left his passenger critically injured.

The incident occurred around 10:22 p.m. on Thursday, December 5th, in the 500 block of Tyrone Boulevard North. Michael Thomas Frye Jr., 40, was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson southbound when he failed to negotiate a turn and collided with a tree.

Both Frye and his passenger, 50-year-old Lynn Marie Bingham from Mississippi, were transported to a local hospital. Tragically, Frye succumbed to his injuries. Bingham remains hospitalized in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating the crash to determine the cause of the accident.
