PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – 31-year-old Largo man, Yancy Crowder, has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following a shooting incident that injured a 12-year-old boy.
The incident occurred on August 30th in Unincorporated Largo. Deputies responded to reports of shots fired and found the young victim with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening.

According to investigators, Crowder fired multiple shots at another man, Calvert Hart, during an altercation.
The 12-year-old, who was standing nearby, was tragically caught in the crossfire. Both Crowder and Hart fled the scene.

Crowder was apprehended the following day in Zephyrhills with the assistance of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of Aggravated Child Abuse with a Deadly Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
