LARGO, Fla. – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) have arrested a Largo man in connection with the possession of child pornography following an investigation initiated in late January.
According to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began on January 29, 2025, after detectives received information suggesting child pornography was being accessed online.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified 18-year-old Alex Diaz as the suspect. The images reportedly involved children approximately 10 years old.
Diaz was taken into custody on April 23, 2025, and has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
