TARPON SPRINGS, FL. – On Tuesday around 4:30 pm, the Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to a call of a dog bite.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that an off-duty Largo Police Department Canine was accidentally released from his fenced-in yard area and bit a 10-year-old juvenile.
The juvenile was taken to the hospital by his father and is in stable condition.
“Due to this being a Law Enforcement Officer’s residence and Largo Police Canine no further information is being released at this time, by this department,” said Tarpons Springs Police in a media release.
