Early Wednesday morning Police responded to the 1400 block of 34th Street South, where Larrisha Williams, age 27, and Jerome Clark, age 23, were found shot to death inside a vehicle.

Large Crowd Cheers as Murder Suspect Arrested By Police in St. Pete Standoff

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Pete Police have arrested the suspect in the murder of Jerome Clark and Larrisha Williams.

Investigators say that since the discovery of the bodies of Jerome Clark and Larrisha Williams early Wednesday morning, detectives have been working tirelessly to find the gunman.

With the help of several tips from the community, Police were able to identify the suspect as Andre M. Watkins DOB 12/10/85.

At 3:39 PM on Friday, police received information that Watkins was in a room at the Bayway Inn, 4400 34th St. S. in St. Pete.

Police evacuated the motel, closed 34th St. South in both directions, and brought in the swat team to try to take the suspect into custody safely.

After four hours the suspect was arrested without incident to the cheers of a large crowd gathered near the scene.

Murder Victims

Andre Watkins is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Jerome Clark, 23, and Larrisha Williams, 27. They were found shot to death in a car in the 1400 block of 34th St. S.
