LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – Eastbound State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes will experience daytime single-lane closures this week as crews conduct necessary repairs to voids discovered under the roadway.
The closures are scheduled daily from Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, between 9 a.m. and approximately 5 p.m. The affected stretch of eastbound SR 54 is from US 41 to just west of Osprey Lane.
According to officials, the closures are required to address voids found under the pavement just east of the intersection near the Lowe’s / Village Lake shopping center. The repair work involves pumping grout into the ground beneath the roadway, which necessitates closing lanes in both eastbound and westbound directions at various times.

While drivers should anticipate increased daytime traffic congestion along SR 54 in the US 41 area due to this ongoing roadwork, authorities expect delays this week to be less severe compared to last week when two lanes were closed.
To help manage traffic flow and enhance safety during the repair period, extra law enforcement personnel have been assigned to the area.
Despite the single-lane closure, officials confirm that all traffic movements through the affected area and access to side streets and driveways will remain available.
The roadwork is part of a larger effort taking place over the next couple of months on SR 54. Motorists are advised to plan for potential delays when traveling through the area during the work hours this week.
