LAKELAND, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested a 32-year-old Lakeland woman shortly after midnight on Thursday, April 3, 2025, on charges of driving under the influence with a child in her vehicle.
Diana El Qreish of Lakeland was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), DUI with a Passenger Under 18 yrs, Negligent Child Abuse, Refusal to Submit to DUI Test, and Failure to Notify HSMV Change of Address.
She was also cited for driving with only one functional headlight, driving in the median, violation of DL restrictions, and driving with an expired tag.

A PCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop on El Qreish’s 2017 Honda Accord on Harden Boulevard near Alamo Drive in Lakeland. The deputy observed that the vehicle had only one working headlight and was driving in the median.
During the stop, the deputy noted that El Qreish had watery, bloodshot eyes and that her breath smelled of alcohol. A small child was a passenger in the vehicle. Deputies ensured the child was transferred into the custody of a family member.

El Qreish performed a Field Sobriety Test, which indicated multiple signs of impairment.
She was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Polk County Jail. At the jail, El Qreish refused to submit to a Breath-Alcohol test.
