Lakeland Police Tracking Down Florida Man Who Helped Himself To $5,000 In Stolen Materials At Construction Site

LAKELAND, FL. – Lakeland Police are trying to track down a man who came close to smiling for the camera before stealing construction materials from a job site.

According to police, the man pictured below recently helped himself to an estimated $5,000 worth of construction materials at the Bonnet Springs construction site.

He was driving an older model white Ford Econoline van, with tinted windows and racks on the roof. The van also had a dent on the passenger side.

The suspect, believed to be between 40 to 50 years old, was seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with “Dewalt” on the front, a reflective vest, baseball cap, jeans, and shoes.

“We’re hoping someone knows this suspect and can help detectives track him down,” said Lakeland Police Department in a social post.
