Lakeland Police PAL To Host 2nd Annual Battle Of The Badges

LAKELAND, FL. – The Lakeland Police Department’s Police Athletic League (PAL) is proud to host the Second Annual Battle of the Badges Flag Football Tournament on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Lakeland’s Cook Field.

The tournament offers friendly flag football games and, more importantly, serves as a fundraiser for the Lakeland Police Athletic League (PAL).

This year, four of Polk County’s top public safety agencies will battle it out to see who takes home the trophy and championship rings. Competing in this year’s event will be members from the Lakeland Police Department, Lakeland Fire Department, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and Winter Haven Police Department.

Gates at the field will open at 8:00 a.m., with the kick-off for game one happening at 9:00 a.m. Teams will compete in a total of four games to determine who has bragging rights for 2022. Attendees are asked to bring a chair and enjoy watching some of Polk County’s finest public safety professionals compete. There will be food concessions, law enforcement equipment, and displays, and activities for the kids on site. All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Lakeland Police Athletic League.

Parking is a $5.00 donation, and Admission is FREE.
