Lakeland Man Killed In Polk County ATV Crash

 A Lakeland man was killed in a fatal ATV crash on Saturday, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

LAKELAND, Fla. – A Lakeland man was killed in a fatal ATV crash on Saturday, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said 35-year-old Roger Tyler Jr., of Lakeland, was riding a Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV on Wildlife Trail north of Lakeland when it flipped on top of him.

According to investigators, the man was pinned under the ATV for about 30 minutes until someone found the man and dialed 911.

Arriving rescue units attempted to save the man, but he died while being transported to a local hospital.

The crash is still under investigation, but deputies say Tyler was not wearing a helmet.
