POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Lakeland man attempting to evade arrest on an outstanding warrant was found hiding in the attic of his home Tuesday night. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in connection with the incident.
Deputies responded to a residence on Pebble Pass Loop in Lakeland around 11 p.m. on February 4th, searching for 49-year-old Luis Manuel Gonzalez Garcia, who had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear for Driving Under the Influence.

At the home, deputies spoke with 43-year-old Mariana Rosas Orizaba and 18-year-old Luis Gonzalez-Rosas, who both denied that Garcia was present. They claimed he was in Mexico. However, deputies heard noises coming from the attic.
Despite continued denials from Orizaba and Gonzalez-Rosas, Garcia eventually emerged from the attic. All three individuals were arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail.

Garcia was arrested on his warrant and additionally charged with resisting arrest. Orizaba and Gonzalez-Rosas were each charged with resisting arrest.
