LAKELAND, Fla. – Abraham Othman Yacoub, 26, of Lakeland, is facing new legal trouble after being indicted on 10 counts of federal bank fraud. This comes just months after he was sentenced to prison for attempting to bring a loaded gun and ammunition into Tampa International Airport.
Each bank fraud count carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison. The indictment also seeks to forfeit $181,540.51, alleged to be the proceeds of Yacoub’s fraudulent activities.
